It’s purpose.Job Description: We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components of large-scale data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of MEP systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex schedules and budgets. You will be responsible for coordinating the installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems, ensuring projects meet design specifications, quality standards, and timelines. On-Site Responsibilities:
- Observations:
- Record weekly site observations.
- Assist with site design coordination queries.
- Attend site inspections of contractor installations.
- Raise and review site observations, field issues, and non-conformances with Owners, Contractors, OFCI vendors, etc.
- Site Inspections:
- Review equipment deliveries as requested.
- Observe contractor benchmarks, mock-ups, and samples.
- Attend QA/QC factory visits for vendor equipment inspection.
- Document and report findings from factory visits and inspections.
- Record and track observations and non-conformance issues raised during factory inspections.
- Testing:
- Attend all witness testing, including all L1 – L5 commissioning (Cx) tests.
- Meeting Attendance:
- Participate in site design coordination workshops, OFCI meetings, commissioning meetings, and BIM coordination.
- Documentation Support:
- Review and answer queries on-site with the goal of reducing RFIs from the contractor.
- Act as A/E POC for the Owner on discipline-specific design and installation questions.
Job RequirementsThis is an excellent opportunity for a MEP Project Manager (Mechanical or Electrical) with on-site construction field experience. You will influence internal and external stakeholders, build strong on-site relationships, and act as the single point of communication for all A/E team services and deliverables to the Contractor during construction.Additional Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus.
- Proficient in design and construction document management.
- Strong knowledge of construction administration and documentation.
- Capable of design document review and coordination across multiple disciplines.
- Experience in interpreting and adapting specifications appropriately.
- Solid understanding of building, fire, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical codes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with Owners, A/E consultants, and contractor staff.
- Ability to work independently in large-scale construction environments.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities from the Owner’s construction management team.
Physical Requirements and Work EnvironmentThis position may operate in a combination of office, remote, and active construction site environments, depending on project assignment and business needs. Employees must be able to perform essential job functions safely and effectively in both professional and field conditions.
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain when on-site.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to travel to and between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to tolerate outdoor weather conditions and exposure to dust, noise, vibrations, and construction-related odors.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and other personnel while maintaining situational awareness in high-activity environments.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots are required when visiting or working on active construction sites.
- This role requires visual acuity sufficient to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Certifications:
