<p>The Managed Services Data Center Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day Team management and operational management of U.S.-based data center environments supporting internal systems and InterSystems’ Clients. This role ensures high availability, operational excellence, and compliance across third-party facilities while coordinating closely with internal infrastructure, platform, and application teams.</p>
<p>The manager leads operations staff and vendors, governs colocation provider relationships, and supports modern infrastructure platforms including software-defined storage, converged infrastrus, and containerized environments.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Data Center Operations</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage daily operations across one or more colocation data center facilities, serving as the primary operational point of contact</li>
<li>Coordinate remote hands, maintenance windows, and incident response with colocation providers</li>
<li>Ensure availability and reliability of power, cooling, space, network connectivity, and physical security</li>
<li>Lead incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) involving internal teams and third-party providers</li>
<li>Maintain and enforce SOPs, runbooks, access procedures, and escalation paths</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Infrastructure & Platform Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support enterprise infrastructure platforms including:
<ul>
<li><strong>Dell PowerFlex</strong> and other software-defined storage systems</li>
<li><strong>Nutanix and VMware</strong> converged infrastructure</li>
<li><strong>Kubernetes platforms</strong> (e.g., Spectro Cloud–managed environments)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Partner with Systems, Platform, and Cloud teams to support hardware lifecycle events, upgrades, and capacity expansions</li>
<li>Ensure operational readiness for containerized and virtualized workloads deployed in colocation facilities</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Team Leadership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and develop data center operations staff and contractors supporting colocation environments</li>
<li>Define staffing models, on-call rotations, and escalation coverage</li>
<li>Promote operational discipline, documentation quality, and continuous improvement</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Vendor & Provider Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage colocation providers, hardware vendors, network carriers, and service partners</li>
<li>Oversee SLAs, maintenance coordination, access controls, and service delivery</li>
<li>Support contract reviews, renewals, and capacity planning discussions with providers</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Capacity, Asset & Lifecycle Management</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Plan and manage rack space, power, and cooling capacity within colocation facilities</li>
<li>Oversee hardware installs, decommissions, migrations, and inventory accuracy</li>
<li>Maintain documentation for layouts, power chains, network connectivity, and platform dependencies</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Security, Compliance & Risk</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Enforce physical security policies and access governance in third-party facilities</li>
<li>Support audits and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC, ISO, HIPAA, PCI, as applicable)</li>
<li>Identify operational risks related to colocation dependencies and drive mitigation strategies</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Solution Portfolio Director, Architecture Director, infrastructure architects and technical leadership to align data center operations with platform architecture, capacity planning, and long-term technology roadmaps</li>
<li>Act as a key interface between Facilities, Network, Systems, Cloud, Security, and Application teams</li>
<li>Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution</li>
<li>Participate in change management, architecture reviews, and platform readiness assessments</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>7+ years of data center or infrastructure operations experience, with significant colocation exposure</li>
<li>3+ years in a leadership or management role</li>
<li>Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, servers, and networking</li>
<li>Experience coordinating operations across third-party providers</li>
<li>Proven incident management, escalation, and problem-solving skills</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience operating multi-site or geographically distributed colocation environments</li>
<li>Hands-on familiarity with:
<ul>
<li>Coralogix</li>
<li>Service Now</li>
<li>Dell PowerFlex or similar SDS platforms</li>
<li>Pure Storage or similar FC-Block SAN storage</li>
<li>Broadcom VMware VCF</li>
<li>Nutanix AHV and Cluster Management</li>
<li>Kubernetes platforms in enterprise or regulated environments</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Certifications such as ITIL, CDCP/CDCS, PMP, or similar</li>
<li>Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), ServiceNow, asset management, and infrastructure monitoring tools</li>
</ul>
