Senior Systems Engineer – Data Center Operations

Concept Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Data Center Operations  to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT) Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Services under the ITIPSS contract vehicle. The position will esign, develop, test, implement, document, and maintain SAN, servers, Hyperconverged clusters, and appliance infrastructure architecture hosted internally or in the cloud. Research, evaluate, and implement new hardware devices and software applications that enhance data center operations capabilities

• Install, configure, and maintain storage arrays, FC switches, and hosts on the SAN and NAS infrastructure
• Provide Systems Administration support for virtualization platforms such as VMware including upgrading, managing, provisioning servers, and version upgrades
• Provide configuration and maintenance of load balancing appliance IOSs (Cloud and OnPrem, F5)
• Perform administrative duties involving backup platforms (Avamar and Cloud Native based solutions)
• Support Security Compliance/POAM activities
• Understand and address STIG settings for RedHat Linux and Windows based operating systems
• Provision servers and services with Terraform/Ansible toolchain
• Experience with migration of files to Azure and AWS storage
• Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines/Git repositories and Active Directory/Azure Entra

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, and/or science; eight (8) years of relevant experience.

Education/Experience Substitutions

The following substitutions may be considered at the Government’s discretion:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
• A Master’s degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
• For positions requiring a Bachelor’s degree, a High School Diploma plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be generally adequate.

Work Location and Schedule

• Primary Location: Oklahoma City, OK
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time
• Telework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government
• FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)
