<p><strong>Team: Site Management </strong></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">The Site Management team has the overall responsibility for managing Infrastructure space, power, physical security and structured cabling across all Squarepoint’s data centers, offices, and colocations facilities. This team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to establish and enforce design standards, implementation strategies, techniques, runbooks, and procedural documents that govern the delivery of infrastructure projects globally, ensuring both consistency and quality. <br></span><span data-contrast="auto">The Site Team is establishing a new Data Center Technician position. The Data Center Technician holds the responsibility of installing, maintaining, and monitoring the equipment and systems within the data center. </span><span data-contrast="auto">The Data Center Technician follows established standards and processes for IMAC (Install/Move/Add and Changes) and ensures that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><span data-contrast="auto">This hire is for an afternoon/evening shift Monday-Friday 2 pm-10 pm or Tuesday-Friday 2 pm-10 pm + Saturday 9 am-5 pm.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Position Overview: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain data center infrastructure (power, cooling, hardware, cabling, tools/supplies, etc.). to provide conformity with established standards.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Perform requirements gathering and planning for new hardware installs (i.e. physical location, power and cooling requirements, cabling, etc.), to ensure efficient and effective deployment.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Install and onboard data center infrastructure components (cabinets, PDUs, structured cabling, etc.,), ensuring proper integration and functionality. </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Racking and cabling of data center hardware (servers, network equipment, storage devices, etc.).</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Hardware troubleshooting and break-fix.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient operations.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Interface directly with data center providers and hardware vendors to ensure seamless integration and support.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage onsite contractors as needed (provide tasks, validate work, etc.) to ensure timely and high-quality work.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Shipping and receiving of equipment.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Maintain inventory (serialized assets and consumables).</span></li>
<li>Perform frequent audits of the Data Center (space, cooling, power, cabling plant).</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-ccp-props="{}">Required Qualifications : </span></strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Bachelor’s degree</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">At least three years Data Center or comparable experience with a proven track record of success.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Knowledge of cabling standards/media types and ability to manage cables to an extremely high standard.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong understanding of data center infrastructure (electrical/power, cooling, mechanicals, safety, etc.).</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to understand basic network designs and topologies.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Basic Linux understanding</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent written/verbal communication, time management and organizational skills.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to work well as part of global team in a fast-paced environment.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><em>The minimum base salary for this role is $60,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions. Successful candidates’ compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.</em></span></p>
