With connections across more than 210 countries and territories, we are building a sustainable world that unlocks priceless possibilities for all.<br><br>Job Overview: <br><br>The Data Center Engineering Team is looking for a Platform Engineer II to support and provide input into the design, architecture, implementation, security and support of our large multi-site, multi-vendor Data Center environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service, highly motivated and detail oriented.<br> <br><br>Role <br><br>•Manage and implement Data Center projects. <br><br>•Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing MasterCard Data Center equipment, as well as re-architecting solutions in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth. <br><br>•Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting Data Center equipment and performance globally. <br><br>•Participate in Data Center-related initiatives. <br><br>•Research and develop innovative solutions around unified Data Center solutions. <br><br>•Supports assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation. <br><br> <br>Education: <br>•Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. <br><br> <br>All About You<br><br>1 to 3 years of overall IT experience in the following areas: <br><br>•Installing and maintaining Data Center hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, storage and servers (both blade and rack mount) <br><br>•Experience with circuit support and troubleshooting <br><br>•Knowledge of Mainframe environment and connectivity a plus <br><br>•Configuring Management interfaces (iDRAC, iLO, CIMC) and supporting infrastructure with the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues <br><br>•Configuring Network ports and troubleshooting connectivity issues. Scripting is a plus <br><br>•Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management tools <br><br>•Experience with Project Management methodology and best practices <br><br> <br>Skills/ Abilities: <br><br>•Strong verbal and written communications skills. <br><br>•Self starter with demonstrated listening skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member. <br><br>•Ability to employ network diagnostics <br><br>•General supervision, work may be reviewed after action is taken. <br><br> Work Conditions: <br><br>•Supports a 7 by 24 Global Data Center environment with an on-call rotation in addition to coordinated after-hour work as needed <br><br>•May require occasional travel<p style=”text-align:inherit”></p><p style=”text-align:inherit”></p>To find US Salary Ranges, visit People Place.
