Job Description
Timmons Group is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager with a proven seller/doer mindset to lead our growing Data Center practice. This is a high-impact leadership role for an entrepreneurial engineer who thrives on building client relationships, winning work, and delivering exceptional projects.
As a key leader, you will:
- Drive business development efforts and expand our strong client base.
- Manage and grow client relationships while ensuring successful project delivery.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
- Position our Data Center practice for continued growth and innovation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Lead civil engineering design for data center projects using Civil 3D and related software.
- Oversee project execution, including design details, plan sets, and technical calculations.
- Prepare specifications and cost estimates, review plans, plats, and construction documents.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources across multiple concurrent projects.
- Support proposal development, marketing efforts, and strategic pursuits.
- Mentor and supervise technical staff, promoting professional growth and accountability.
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in civil site design with strong knowledge of state/local regulations.
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and deliver projects on time.
- Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
