Job Title: Data Center TechnicianLocation: Lithia Springs, Georgia, United States<h3>Job Overview:</h3>We are seeking highly skilled Data Center Technicians to join a growing IT team supporting cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure. This role involves break-fix of GPUs, servers, network, and cabling, as well as ticket management using ITSM tools. Candidates will be responsible for deploying and maintaining data center infrastructure, including GPU and network racks, cabling, and server components.<h3>The Story Behind the Role</h3>In Lithia Springs, GA, a major data center expansion is underway to support the future of cloud computing and AI. At three key facilities, teams are deploying powerful GPU clusters—critical for high-performance computing, machine learning, and enterprise-scale data processing.This is a high-tech, high-impact environment operating 24/7 on a 3x4x12 schedule across all four core shifts (Front/Back Days/Nights). The operation is built for resilience and scalability, and the team is looking for the right professionals to help make it happen.<h3>Available Positions:</h3><ul><li>Experienced Technicians (L4) – 3+ years of dedicated data center experience, focused on diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.</li><li>Mid-Level Technicians (L3) – 1+ years of experience supporting hardware installation, cabling, and break/fix tasks.</li></ul><h3>Shift Schedules:</h3><ul><li>Front Half Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Every other Wednesday (6 AM – 6:30 PM)</li><li>Front Half Nights: Same days as above (6 PM – 6:30 AM)</li><li>Back Half Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Every other Wednesday (6 AM – 6:30 PM)</li><li>Back Half Nights: Same days as above (6 PM – 6:30 AM)</li></ul><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Deploy and configure GPUs in servers</li><li>Perform break-fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network, and cabling</li><li>Manage tickets using ITSM tools</li><li>Land fully populated GPU or network racks including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot-air containment, and overhead cable containment trays</li><li>Interpret BOMs to ensure all materials are accounted for</li><li>Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures</li><li>Handle and install optical modules (SFPs, QSFP)</li><li>Scope and clean fibers (SC, LC, MPO styles)</li><li>Rack and stack equipment within existing racks</li><li>Patch fiber and copper cables</li><li>Lead and manage teams effectively</li><li>Travel as required</li><li>Work with DC power and DC powered equipment</li><li>Provide daily communication and document progress using MS Office and digital photos</li><li>Familiarity with telecom engineering designs specific to enterprise-level data centers</li></ul><h3>Requirements:</h3><ul><li>1–5+ years of deployment and/or break-fix experience in a data center</li><li>Extensive experience with GPU or network rack deployment</li><li>Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM/MM/MPO)</li><li>Experience with optical modules and fiber cleaning</li><li>Proven leadership experience</li><li>Willingness to travel</li><li>Strong communication and documentation skills</li></ul><h3>Top Skills:</h3><ul><li>Data center deployment and troubleshooting</li><li>GPU deployment experience (preferred)</li><li>Hardware installation and cabling</li></ul><h3>Enterprise Skills:</h3>Data center, deployment, fiber optic cable, cable, rack and stack, cabling, troubleshooting, Cat6, Cat5, GPU#APipe26Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract- to- hire position based out of Lithia Springs, Ga.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.36.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
