As a Senior Datacenter Administrator you’ll be responsible for proactively managing and monitoring ITSM servers, primarily ServiceNow, to ensure seamless operation. You’ll apply database administration expertise to handle complex data integrity, performance tuning, and integrations. Your goal will be to recommend and implement patches/updates to maintain compliance and resilience in a mission-critical government environment aligned with ITIL 4 and federal standards. Management, maintenance, and security of an organization’s critical datacenter infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability for all enterprise systems. This senior-level role involves not only day-to-day operations like monitoring and troubleshooting but also strategic responsibilities such as planning upgrades, implementing security protocols, and managing disaster recovery solutions to support core business functions. If you’re a motivated and skilled IT professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.Location Requirement The successful candidate must be located within 50 miles of Vicksburg, MS.Required Education, Experience, & Skills <div style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Required Education, Experience, & Skills<ul style=”margin-bottom:11px; list-style-type:circle”><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Database Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>10+ years of experience in system and database administration, with at least 5 years focused on ITSM platforms like ServiceNow in large-scale environments</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Proven expertise as a Database Administrator, including full knowledge of related disciplines such as server OS, networking, and cloud integration for hybrid setups</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Strong proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ITSM server management tools, with experience in proactive monitoring and patching</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>In-depth understanding of ITIL 4 practices, particularly for service operations and continual improvement</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Excellent analytical skills for root cause analysis and optimization in high-stakes, regulated settings</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract obligations</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Behaviors that will help someone excel in this role:<ul style=”list-style-type:circle”><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>May function in a project leadership role</li></ul></li></ul></div>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills <div style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills<ul style=”margin-bottom:11px; list-style-type:circle”><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Database Administrator (or equivalent, e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator)</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Experience supporting DoD or large federal customers, including database security hardening and ITSM integrations with enterprise systems</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>ITIL 4 Managing Professional (MP) certification or higher, with focus on service design and transition</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Background in automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, SQL scripts) for patch management and monitoring alerts</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>Master’s degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ for secure database administration)</li><li style=”margin-bottom:11px”>ITIL Found V4 certification</li></ul></div> Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 – $204000 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
