About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Data Center Technician – Senior to join us.

 

Role Summary

 

The Data Center Technician – Senior provides leadership for day-to-day data center activities supporting SEC facilities, providing comprehensive updates and reports on capacity, workflows, schematics, environmental conditions, and inventory. This senior role manages power and cabling requests, coordinates hardware moves/adds/changes, maintains documentation, and utilizes change and configuration management systems to support data center operations and infrastructure activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day data center activities and operations
  • Provide daily updates and weekly reports on capacity, workflows, schematics, environmental conditions, and inventory
  • Manage power and cabling requests for all data center equipment and racks
  • Schedule and coordinate all hardware moves/adds/changes
  • Update hardware inventory, wire map connections, workflows, and capacity reports
  • Work directly with system architecture team to produce installation documents
  • Validate requirements for System Change Request implementation and data center work
  • Utilize change and configuration management database systems such as TeamTrack and ServiceNow)
  • Track and manage status using tools such as NLyte DCIM
  • Coordinate with vendors on data center infrastructure
  • Lead data center maintenance activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in the management of data centers
  • Experience using change and configuration management database systems (TeamTrack, ServiceNow)
  • Certified Data Center Engineer Certification or equivalent
  • Proven experience managing complex data center operations
  • Knowledge of capacity planning and infrastructure management

Education & Substitutions

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
  • Education substitutions accepted per contract guidelines:
  • No Degree: 2 additional years experience
  • Associate’s Degree: 1 additional year experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Meets baseline requirement
  • Master’s Degree or PhD: No additional experience required

Preferred Skills

  • Multiple data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE)
  • Advanced experience with DCIM platforms and analytics
  • Knowledge of data center tier standards and compliance
  • Understanding of PUE and data center efficiency metrics
  • Experience with critical infrastructure systems
  • Strong project coordination and vendor management skills

Background Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance.

 

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
